0:08 Day Zero design when we talk about Day
0:10 Zero operations we are talking about all
0:12 the planning and design that you can do
0:15 prior to deploying any of the systems
0:17 these are the tasks that should be
0:18 performed to make sure that the actual
0:20 deployment day goes as smoothly as
0:22 possible the tasks you want to perform
0:24 here are designing your network and
0:27 staging your configuration using the
0:29 Mist cloud you have one interface you
0:31 can log into to configure all of the
0:33 access points switches and routers in
0:36 your whole network you can use
0:38 configuration templates with site
0:39 specific variables so you only have to
0:41 create a limited number of
0:42 configurations for large deployments I
0:45 have seen deployments with 10,000 sites
0:48 that only have six or so different
0:49 designs so what do they do they create
0:52 six templates and apply the appropriate
0:54 templates to the correct sites as they
0:56 are on boarding I've also dealt with
0:58 deployments that have a couple
0:59 variations between between sites say for
1:01 example they use different IP address
1:02 schemes at each site this is not a
1:05 problem either because all we have to do
1:07 is input a variable or placeholder like
1:09 this and then when we create the site we
1:11 say for this variable put in this value
1:15 with this technology we can easily
1:17 deploy 1,000 sites in minutes once you
1:20 have your network designed and you have
1:21 staged your configuration it is time to
1:23 prepare for deployment
1:27 day day one deployment
1:30 day one stands for the first day of use
1:32 for our new devices this is the most
1:34 exciting day in my opinion you have a
1:36 shiny new device and you just can't wait
1:38 to pull it out of the box and use it
1:40 unfortunately a lot of times this day
1:43 can be ruined by the actual deployment
1:44 and installation well that does not have
1:46 to be the case with Juniper Networks
1:48 with the AI driven full stack Branch you
1:50 can easily deploy your network using QR
1:52 codes or claim codes first if you didn't
1:55 do it as part of your day Zero tasks
1:58 create a site in the Mist cloud and and
1:59 assign the appropriate templates to that
2:01 site then just look at the back of your
2:03 device for a QR code and scan it with an
2:06 app or grab the claim code and add it to
2:08 your inventory for that site if you have
2:10 a white box switch or router then just
2:12 copy a few lines of configuration to get
2:14 that device speaking to the m Cloud once
2:16 your device connects up to the McLoud it
2:18 will see what site it is deployed to and
2:20 grab the appropriate
2:22 configuration another huge benefit of
2:24 the configuration templates is that if
2:26 you need to make any changes to your
2:28 configuration all you have to do is make
2:30 the change in the template and the
2:31 change will get pushed down to all of
2:33 the appropriate devices you no longer
2:35 need to log into each individual device
2:38 with these powerful tools at your
2:39 disposal you can have a full site up in
2:41 minutes this is what we call true zero
2:44 touch
2:52 provisioning
