0:07 all right here now at the second station

0:09 inside the Juniper booth and this is uh

0:12 I'm here with Kevin Landry Kevin can you

0:13 do a quick control on yourself hi yeah

0:15 my name is Kevin Landry and I'm part of

0:17 the Paragon automation marketing team at

0:19 Juniper Networks and I'm here to deliver

0:21 a demo on our AI enabled Cloud delivered

0:25 mobile transport Automation and that's a

0:28 mouthful it's really like simplifying

0:31 Metro right you want to see it as

0:33 simplifying operations by using the

0:36 cloud yeah exactly Yeah so basically

0:38 software is a service for Network

0:40 automation is another way to be able to

0:42 see it

0:43 um so you know how at Juniper we're

0:45 driven by experience so we're really

0:47 focused on all the experiences that we

0:50 want to deliver for our customers and

0:52 their end users to make them just

0:54 amazing but we're also focused on the

0:56 experiences of RN users of our

0:58 applications so we're talking about the

1:01 network operators and these are the

1:02 folks that would use these type of

1:04 solutions so I just want to introduce

1:06 this is the product that we're we're

1:08 talking about it's Paragon automation as

1:10 a service and that we've doubled down

1:12 our investment into Cloud delivered

1:15 automation because we truly believe that

1:16 this is the future of operations it

1:20 gives you an approach that's use case

1:22 based so in the past the issue was that

1:25 we had various systems that were

1:27 monolithic do-it-yourself type of

1:29 development projects and many times all

1:32 the integration effort and work involved

1:34 would take upwards of a year to be able

1:36 to actually get deployed whereas this

1:39 type of solution we've seen studies from

1:41 reputable analysts such as analysis

1:43 Mason that have shown that we're able to

1:45 deliver use cases 70 percent faster and

1:48 at a 40 lower cost so again I noticed

1:51 here this is use use case based right

1:53 can you explain what that is and how

1:55 that works and why I decided to go that

1:56 way yeah certainly so what we're doing

1:59 is we're giving the opportunity for

2:02 operators to be able to deploy

2:04 individual use cases when and where they

2:07 need so that they could basically meet

2:09 their requirements in a way that's most

2:11 urgent to them so they get to prioritize

2:13 where they want to put their investment

2:15 and which use cases they want to deploy

2:17 so what's an example of a use case so a

2:19 use case would be something like for

2:20 instance a field technician that

2:22 onboards the device or it could be a

2:24 network operator that needs to have a

2:26 network observability across the network

2:29 to supervise it

2:30 such these type of applications it could

2:33 be for service provisioning it could be

2:35 for Network planning these are the type

2:37 of use cases we're talking interesting

2:38 and then how is the AI fit into this so

2:42 there's a couple of ways that AI fits

2:44 into this so first of all there's so

2:46 much data that we usually have in all of

2:48 our systems so it's difficult to be able

2:51 to actually pinpoint the root cause of

2:53 problems so what we've done is we use AI

2:56 to make it very easy to find that needle

2:58 in a haystack type of thing so it's

3:01 really a needle and a stack of needles

3:02 I've heard now with networks being so

3:04 complicated right yeah they're so

3:06 complicated and even in terms of the UI

3:08 design to be able to do that in a way

3:11 that you're able to see immediately what

3:13 the actions are need to be taken

3:15 everything that's most urgent is most

3:18 important so you know we've taken on

3:20 approach where we've designed the UI to

3:22 basically highlight the issues that are

3:25 most relevant basically to go attack and

3:28 it's so easy to use like we've

3:30 reimagined the way that we've designed

3:32 our uis to be just super easy

3:36 incredibly easy in fact it's almost like

3:38 an easy button for operations

3:41 so with that all of this is going to

3:44 enable you to just get that faster time

3:46 to Market to be able to deploy your

3:49 services faster and it also gives you a

3:51 chance to be able to have

3:54 um employees and resources that are not

3:56 usually working on this type of solution

3:59 a lot of times you have experts you

4:01 don't need that much skill level to be

4:02 able to use these applications because

4:04 it's so easy so you're going to be able

4:06 to spread that out and so that means

4:08 you're not you don't have to deploy like

4:09 high level engineers in the field

4:11 anymore too right well it just means

4:13 that you're going to be able to get them

4:14 up and ready and trained really really

4:16 quickly because it's just going to be so

4:18 simple and let me give you an example

4:20 um so these are the the use cases that

4:22 we're demonstrating here at Mobile World

4:24 Congress today so the first one is

4:26 device onboarding so the ability to be

4:28 able to deploy your network equipment so

4:31 fast that you're able to get up and

4:32 ready for services within a day

4:36 the ability to have Network

4:37 observability to deliver unprecedented

4:40 insights and visibility and also Network

4:43 trust so you're able to establish

4:45 Network integrity and trust and we have

4:48 demos for each one of these that I could

4:50 show you but first let me give you this

4:52 one example of network device onboarding

4:55 so we have this field engineering app so

4:59 the idea is once your device like this

5:01 ACX comes to your on-prem site the field

5:04 engineer is going to accept this and

5:06 install it and then it's as simple as

5:09 scanning a QR code so the idea is you

5:11 use this application and you're able to

5:14 scan this QR code and then immediately

5:17 what happens is a view of this device is

5:21 actually brought up and you're going to

5:22 be able to actually have a list of every

5:26 single step that you need to do to be

5:29 able to perform that installation so the

5:31 idea is in the background what happened

5:33 before the the field engineer went to

5:35 site was that the knock that the planner

5:39 was basically making this the design of

5:43 what is the series of ports that needs

5:45 to be inserted as well as what are the

5:48 capacity of the ports what are the links

5:50 and that's all in our product and I'll

5:51 be able to show you that as well but

5:53 once this is done you're able to

5:55 basically get all of this validation

5:57 done through this amp you've you have

5:59 all the hardware

6:01 um authenticated to be able to know it's

6:03 actually genuine Juniper hardware and

6:06 that's using our TPM 2.0 chip that

6:10 provides cryptographically signed

6:12 measures and we're able to get a view of

6:16 which of these sfps to be able to to

6:19 insert where so it's going to do that

6:24 and tell you where to deploy it yeah

6:26 tell you exactly where to deploy it so

6:28 once you're done it's going to run

6:30 through all these remote connectivity

6:32 tests you're going to be able to use

6:34 your active Assurance solution to test

6:36 on the data plane to know if your

6:39 services are working you're going to be

6:40 able to know if your Network's healthy

6:42 and all of that and then at the end it's

6:45 as simple as showing the pictures that

6:48 you're taking you're going to be able to

6:49 present those to the system and sign off

6:52 the workflow and then you're done so

6:53 that's exactly what it's doing here

6:55 there's pictures that are taken and so

6:57 forth so that's this uh Network

7:01 onboarding application and with that I

7:04 wanted to show you the the network

7:07 operator's view of that so for the

7:09 network operations center they're going

7:11 to also get a view to be able to

7:12 supervise all the field Engineers work

7:15 in the field but they're only going to

7:17 be alerted to the Urgent actions that

7:19 need to be taken so this screen shows

7:21 you that when they're planning there's a

7:25 planning app and that's where all the

7:27 magic happens uh when they want to

7:30 actually design the workflow that you

7:32 saw on the phone uh I'll just edit this

7:35 one where you're able to

7:38 actually specify all the links

7:41 in a V like this so you can see how all

7:44 the links have already been established

7:46 by the planner to be able to set that

7:48 and the last use cases that we have are

7:51 for observability as well as for trust

7:54 so this would be something like

7:57 taking

7:59 um all the hardware that you deploy in

8:01 your network and understanding whether

8:03 or not you could trust it whether or not

8:04 maybe there's some kind of manipulation

8:07 that happened or tampering it's going to

8:09 be able to actually have a trust score

8:10 if it's meeting compliance benchmarks

8:14 that and so forth so you can see how we

8:16 Trend that on on the graph all right

8:20 and that's pretty much the three aspects

8:23 of paragon automation as a service that

8:25 we're showing today at mobile well that

8:27 really is a different way of running a

8:29 network right compared to the old CLI

8:30 model so oh definitely it's very

8:32 intuitive and insightful I think that

8:34 our customers really love it all right

8:36 well thanks everybody I appreciate the

8:37 time thanks thanks
